HSC results hit six-year low as pass rate, GPA-5 numbers decline

Schools in the state recently reported that the highest school certificate pass rate has dropped to 52.12 percent, marking a six-year low. A total of 293 educational institutions recorded zero passes among their students this year. The education minister attributed this decline to significant learning gaps that persist across the education system. In response to the disappointing figures, the minister has promised to implement corrective measures aimed at improving student outcomes. The data highlights a worrying trend where performance metrics are falling below previous benchmarks. Officials emphasized that addressing these gaps requires immediate attention and strategic intervention from all stakeholders involved in school education. The situation underscores the urgent need for enhanced teaching methodologies and better resource allocation within the state schools.
